Nail Care
Services for your nails and how you should care for them.

The UV light and homecare.

Why the nails might tingle when they go under the UV light.

Many chemical reaction gives off enery in the form of heat, which, under the correct circumstances cannot be felt on the nail bed.

If however, the reaction happens too fast, excessive heat is given off which can be uncomfortable. The reaction is caused by the intense activity of the molecules, almost like friction this happens by either:

1) The nails are too thin or damaged,

2) The nail bed is very sensitive,

3) The layer of gel is very thick,

4) The UV light is too strong.

The most common reasons are the nail bed is sensitive or thin or damaged.

DONT worry about the UV light it WONT damage your natural nail, or tan your fingers it is perfectly save.

HOMECARE.

1) DO NOT pick or file the artificial nails as this may take off some of the gel on the free edge, if you pick at the gel and if it comes off it might make the nail plate slightly weaker. Wait until your infills.

2) DO NOT try to remove the nailsyourself wait and let someone else do it.

3) Wear gloves at all times when you are doing housework, gardening or washing up.

4) When you are taking off nail varnish use non acetone remover as this is kinder to your nails than remover with acetone and this remover will take off the nails.

5) If you notice any lifting of the gel (light colour in the gel) return for repair, DO NOT leave it as water might get in and might cause an infection.

6) Return immdeiately if any redness or a rash to the skin or discolouration is noticed.

7) Apply either cuticle oil, oil or hand/nail cream daily to keep the skin around the nails soft.

8) Return every 2-3 weeks for regular infills (these are very important to have a look at the nails to see if they are all ok).
